Izturis' clutch play edges Rox in pitchers' duel
Maicer Izturis broke up the Rockies' Jorge De La Rosa's no-hit bid in the sixth, knocked the winning hit in the eighth and played excellent defense as the Blue Jays topped the Rockies, 2-0, on Monday in Toronto. Josh Johnson held Colorado scoreless in 7 1/3 innings of work.

Francis savors chance to start in native Canada
The Rockies' Jeff Francis, who grew up in Vancouver, is eager to take the mound in front of friends and family on Tuesday at Rogers Centre. The red-hot Blue Jays tab Esmil Rogers, who has been solid since he made his transition from the bullpen to the rotation, as they go for their seventh straight win.

Injured top Blue Jays prospects on the mend
Injuries forced right-handers Aaron Sanchez and Roberto Osuna and left-hander Daniel Norris, the Blue Jays' top three prospects, onto the disabled list in the Minor Leagues in the past six weeks. Slowly, but surely, all three are beginning to return to action.

Bautista starts at DH amid extreme heat

Arencibia looks to break out of June slump

Reyes feels 'great' after simulated game
Jose Reyes had a pair of hits and two walks in a simulated game at the Blue Jays' Spring Training complex on Saturday morning. Toronto's shortstop singled and tripled during his second rehab game as he continues to make progress from a sprained left ankle.

Izturis improving at plate and in field
Blue Jays infielder Maicer Izturis is finally starting to show some signs of life at the plate after struggling for most of the year. Izturis entered play on Saturday riding a four-game hitting streak, going 7-for-18 over that span with a pair of doubles and two RBIs.
