The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed right-hander Chad Qualls on the 15-day disabled list with colitis (retroactive to July 16).
The Colorado Rockies are currently accepting nominations for the 2016 Adult Leadership Award, to be presented in September in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month at Coors Field. The Colorado Rockies and the Asheville Tourists announced earlier today that the two organizations have extended their partnership with a new Player Development Contract that will run through 2018. The Tourists have been affiliated with the Rockies since 1994; the first season Colorado had a full allotment of minor league affiliates.
The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Tyler Chatwood from the 15-day disabled list and right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino from the 60-day disabled list. Additionally, right-hander Eddie Butler has been optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque and right-hander Justin Miller has been placed on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to July 3) with a left oblique strain.
