A.J. Burnett led the Marlins to a sweep of not only this current series, but the entire Interleague set with Tampa Bay for 2005. Florida faced an equally strong pitcher in Seth McClung, whose biggest mistake was a bases-loaded walk to Miguel Cabrera that scored Damion Easley.
Making his first appearance since being recalled from Triple-A Durham, Seth McClung went seven strong innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five. But as good as he was, Florida's A.J. Burnett was even better, shutting out the Rays for the Citrus Series sweep.
