Eli Marrero and Melvin Mora mashed solo homers in the third inning and Daniel Cabrera pitched five wobbly but effective innings as the Orioles closed the gap in the American League East with a six-inning win over the Red Sox. Sammy Sosa contributed his first RBI since June 19 in the victory.
