Giambi repeats homer feat
Jason Giambi hit two home runs for the second consecutive night, helping the Yankees defeat the Mariners. His solo homer in the fifth got New York on the board and his three-run shot in the sixth put the Bomers ahead to stay.

Ichiro Suzuki led off the first with his 14th home run of the year, and Seattle knocked Mike Mussina out of the game in the fourth inning. But starter Ryan Franklin and reliever Matt Thornton gave up homers to Jason Giambi, two of four homers allowed by Mariners pitching, and they fell to the Yankees.
