Solid Wood keeps Cubs afloat
Dunn's blast not enough
Adam Dunn hit his 17th homer in the eighth inning, but the long ball couldn't pull the Reds out of the hole dug by starter Elizardo Ramirez, who surrendered four runs on nine hits in six innings to take his fourth loss of the season. Austin Kearns struck out three times, and second baseman Brandon Phillips left in the fifth after experiencing tightness in his right leg.
