'Franchise' tags Orioles
O's blanked in finale
Erik Bedard allowed two runs on five hits and struck out nine, but his offense was unable to lend a hand. The Orioles needed until the fifth inning to record their first hit, and they waited 'til the eighth to get their second, a single by Corey Patterson, who stole his league-leading 27th base.

Series at a glance:
Twins ride rookie's gem
Francisco Liriano threw seven shutout innings of one-hit ball in yet another impressive outing. Justin Morneau avenged Ron Gardenhire with a home run in the first at-bat following the manager's ejection for arguing balls and strikes in the fourth. Three two-out hits in the sixth added a pair of runs.
