Jays defuse Bombers
Yanks drop third straight
The suddenly slumping Yankees dropped their third straight on Friday, as Jaret Wright turned in one of his worst starts of the season, lasting just 2 2/3 innings. Alex Rodriguez provided the game's lone bright spot for New York -- notching his 2,000th hit and 450th homer with a three-run blast in the third inning off A.J. Burnett.

Series at a glance:
Burnett gets the win
A.J. Burnett pitched like the No. 2 starter the Jays need him to be on Friday, limiting the Yanks to three runs over 7 1/3 innings as Toronto topped New York again. Troy Glaus paced the offense, hitting his 25th homer and driving in four in a 2-for-2 showing.
