	Phillies avenge Game 1 loss

Chipper goes deep in loss

After winning Game 1 of the twin bill, the Braves dropped the nightcap after allowing the Phils to score in each of the first six innings. Atlanta scored first thanks to Chipper Jones' homer, but was held to an RBI single and a run-scoring groundout after that.

Sixteen runs sweet for Phils

It didn't look good at first when Scott Mathieson exited after six pitches. But the bats took over from there, to the tune of 16 runs. The 20 hits collected by the offense, a season high, helped the Phillies split the doubleheader after dropping the day game.
