Jason Bay hit his 30th and 31st homers, both two-run shots, and Jose Bautista unlocked a tie ballgame in the ninth by scoring the eventual game-winner on a wild pitch. The win moved the Bucs past the Cubs and into fifth in the NL Central, the first time all year they've been out of last place.
Faced with an early four-run deficit, the Cubs clawed all the way back, thanks in part to Juan Pierre's 3-for-5, two-RBI night. But Ryan Dempster's wild pitch in the ninth inning scored the tiebreaker, and left the Cubs looking up at the rest of the NL Central.
