A's ALCS-bound with sweep
Season ends in Oakland
The AL Central champion Twins tried to stay close after an injured Brad Radke gave up two early home runs, but Minnesota fell in Oakland to bow out of the ALDS in three games. Torii Hunter and Justin Morneau hit homers, but the Twins were hurt late by Marco Scutaro's three-run double in the seventh.

A's taking the next step
Watch out, ALCS, because here come the A's for the first time since 1992. Eric Chavez and Milton Bradley hit homers as Oakland built a four-run lead and never looked back, breaking a string of nine losses in postseason elimination games. Marco Scutaro's seventh-inning double drove in three more runs.
