St. Louis' spot in NLCS secure
Padres ousted in Game 4
Needing a win to force a Game 5 at home, the Padres jumped out to a quick lead and stayed right with the Cards until the sixth, when they yielded four runs and couldn't recover. Starter Woody Williams was effective for five innings, while Russell Branyan and Mike Cameron each drove in a run.
