Ramon Ortiz tossed seven effective innings in his first start as a Twin, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four. Rondell White, Luis Castillo and Michael Cuddyer, who had three hits, drove in two runs apiece to lead Minnesota's 11-hit attack.
