The Mets continued their hot hitting and their dominant pitching in routing the Braves on Friday. Jose Reyes had two triples and four RBIs, while Oliver Perez went seven strong innings. New York has now outscored its opponents 31-3 in four games in 2007.

Jeff Francoeur went deep in the fourth inning, but Mark Redman struggled in his Braves debut, allowing five runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings as Atlanta dropped its home opener. Tyler Yates and Macay McBride yielded six runs -- three earned -- in the eighth inning.
