TODAY'S WRAPS: May 01, 2007
A's begin May with a win
A's rally to tie, win
The A's trailed early after Joe Blanton gave up three first-inning runs and the Oakland bats ran into Boston ace Curt Schilling. But Travis Buck belted a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth, and Dan Johnson -- who'd homered in the fourth -- put away the game with an RBI double in the 10th.

Series at a glance:
Papelbon gives up lead
With the game seemingly in hand thanks to the combined efforts of Curt Schilling and Hideki Okajima, the Sox handed the ball to closer Jonathan Papelbon, who gave up a game-tying homer to Oakland's Travis Buck. The A's went ahead in the top of ninth to take the series opener.
