TODAY'S WRAPS: May 01, 2007
Brewers break out in big way
Looper's night heads south
Everything was going right for Cardinals starter Braden Looper for four innings. The right-hander had not allowed a run and even knocked home St. Louis' first run with a single. Things unraveled quickly in the fifth as the Brewers erupted for four runs before piling on with a seven-run sixth.

Blitzkrieg lifts Brewers
The Brewers had barely made a dent offensively for the first four frames, but that changed in a hurry. Two innings and 11 runs later, they were on their way to a romp. Geoff Jenkins singled home the go-ahead run and added a long ball among his four hits, Tony Graffanino ripped a three-run homer and J.J. Hardy pounded out four hits.
