All was going well for Oliver Perez in the series opener in San Francisco -- until the fifth inning. After allowing a two-run homer, the Mets made two errors behind him during a nine-run nightmare. Only two of Perez's eight runs were earned as Barry Zito held the Mets down to earn the victory.
