Maddux just masterful
Reds shut down

The Reds couldn't get much going offensively, with just five hits against future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux of the Padres, who was perfect through 5 1/3 innings. Reds right-hander Matt Belisle struggled, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and a walk in five innings.
