Sox sweep on Hinske heroics
Tigers drop three of four
Trying to put the loss in Game 1 behind them, the Tigers tied Game 2 in the second inning and went ahead a frame later on Brandon Inge's homer off the top of the Green Monster. But as they often do, the Sox came from behind and sent the Tigers to a road trip-ending sweep.

Series at a glance:
Red Sox take twin bill
Game 1 of Thursday's day-night doubleheader belonged to Julian Tavarez, and Eric Hinske was the star of Game 2. Filling in for J.D. Drew, the right fielder made a spectacular catch to prevent a run, then belted a two-run homer that snapped a tie and put the Red Sox ahead for good.
