The Yankees cut their AL East deficit back to single digits behind starter Chien-Ming Wang, who was charged with two runs in 6 1/3 innings and received early support with home runs by Alex Rodriguez and Jason Giambi. Robinson Cano broke the game open with a two-run triple in the fifth.
