David Dellucci might have found a silver lining in the midst of his season-long slump, belting a go-ahead, two-run homer in the eighth as the Indians won their third straight game and expanded their lead in the AL Central on second-place Detroit to 1 1/2 games. C.C. Sabathia stayed hot, improving to 7-1 this season.

Without setup men Joel Zumaya and Fernando Rodney, who was placed on the disabled list Saturday, the Tigers might have felt the effects of an injury-riddled bullpen. Bobby Seay squandered a one-run lead in the seventh, and Jason Grilli allowed three runs in the eighth as Detroit lost its second consecutive game to AL Central rival Cleveland.
