Not perfect, Haren wins No. 10
Huge second paces A's
Backed by a seven-run second inning that included two-out home runs by Jack Cust and Dan Johnson, Dan Haren rolled to his 10th win of the season despite surrendering a season-high five runs in 5 1/3 innings. All nine A's starters collected at least one hit in the win, which secured a series victory in the Bronx.

Series at a glance:
Pettitte knocked out early
Going up against one of the Majors' best pitchers in Dan Haren, the Yankees put up a fight offensively, but any chance at victory was all but eliminated when the A's scored seven runs in the second inning off usually reliable starter Andy Pettitte, who didn't make it to the third.
