Jeff Kent homered as part of a three-run second inning to stake Mark Hendrickson to an early lead, but the Dodgers left-hander ran into trouble in the sixth. Rudy Seanez relieved Hendrickson and allowed a two-run double to Morgan Ensberg and a go-ahead grand slam to Craig Biggio.

On an emotional day in which he announced his retirement effective at the end of the season, Craig Biggio belted a tiebreaking two-out grand slam in the sixth inning to lead the Astros to victory. Morgan Ensberg tied the game with a two-run double.
