The Rays broke the game open with four runs in the seventh, but it wasn't necessary after left-hander Scott Kazmir's performance. Kazmir stymied the Tigers, allowing only three hits in six shutout innings. Carl Crawford continued his hot hitting by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a two-run homer, his 10th of the season.
