Sweep eludes Marlins
Even though Florida didn't win the finale, the Marlins did leave New York with a series win. The contest favored Florida early on when Hanley Ramirez led off the game with his 21st homer of the year. However, following a three-run fourth, the Marlins were unable to plate any more runs the rest of the way. Rick VandenHurk, who started for Florida, gave up four runs.
