An early three-run hole became a distant memory as Texas took the lead in the fourth. But it was a nine-run sixth inning that sealed the win. Marlon Byrd and Travis Metcalf both hit grand slams as the Rangers scored an AL-Record 30 runs to take the opener of Wednesday's twin bill.
Things started off well for the O's. Baltimore had a three-run lead by the third inning, but starter Daniel Cabrera and the bullpen surrendered 30 unanswered runs.
