Derek Lowe had the Phillies pounding the ball into the ground all night in his second straight outstanding performance after going winless for nearly two months. Andre Ethier drove in the Dodgers' first three runs with a double and a homer, and a five-run seventh put the game out of reach.
The Phillies placed ace Cole Hamels on the disabled list Wednesday afternoon, and the night was not much better for the home team. J.D. Durbin lasted six innings while subbing for the injured lefty, but the bats never really got going against the Dodgers.
