Matt Cain excelled in all facets of the Giants' series finale with the Cubs, hitting his second home run of the season, a two-run shot, and limiting Chicago to one run on eight hits, while striking out four, in seven innings to earn his sixth victory of the season. Dave Roberts got the scoring started with a two-run single in the fourth.
