Down, 5-0, early, the Angels didn't quiver. Gary Matthews Jr. and Kendry Morales went deep in the fourth, and Garret Anderson's sac fly tied it in the fifth. Vladimir Guerrero's double gave the club its first lead and he came through with the bases loaded in the four-run eighth to cap the comeback.

Jeff Weaver was staked to a 5-0 lead after one, but the right-hander was unable to cash in the advantage for his fifth August win. Triples by Ichiro Suzuki and Adrian Beltre led the opening frame, and Ichiro tied the game in the seventh with a two-out single, but a four-run Angels eighth was too much.
