TODAY'S WRAPS: August 31, 2007
Rays roar to fourth straight
Sonnanstine, Pena shine
Andy Sonnanstine stifled the Yankees in the series opener in the Bronx, allowing just one run on two hits in eight innings. The Devil Rays' smoking-hot offense did the rest, with every starter but one getting a hit. Carlos Pena belted two home runs, Greg Norton hit one, and Carl Crawford and Delmon Young each had two RBIs.

Series at a glance:
Streak comes to an end
Phil Hughes struggled with his command early and didn't make it out of the fifth, charged with four earned runs on seven hits. The Yanks' offense had a tough time of its own against Rays starter Andy Sonnanstine, with New York's lone run coming on an Alex Rodriguez RBI single.
