Mets jack three homers

Pedro Martinez's long-awaited return to the Mets was both historic and successful. Martinez recorded the 3,000th strikeout of his career and was victorious in his 2007 debut. Moises Alou, David Wright and Carlos Delgado all homered to lead the offense.

Aaron Harang had arguably his roughest start of the season, allowing six runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings in losing only his fourth game. The Reds jumped out to a quick lead in the first on RBIs from Ken Griffey Jr. and Brandon Phillips, but Harang was unable to contain the Mets.
