Just Joshin': Beckett wins 17th
Doc drops complete game
Roy Halladay deserves a better fate than he has received over his past five games. During that stretch, Doc has pitched five complete games, but he has won just one of them. It was more of the same Tuesday for the right-hander, who allowed five runs on nine hits over eight innings. Matt Stairs continued to mash, hitting a three-run homer in the fifth inning.

Series at a glance:
Right-hander in command
Josh Beckett made one pitch he wishes he could get back, a changeup to Matt Stairs that Stairs belted for a three-run home run. Otherwise, it was another fine display by the right-hander, who shut down the Blue Jays over eight innings to earn his career-best 17th win of the season.
