Eric Gagne could not get the job done on Tuesday, as the Sox dropped their second straight to the Blue Jays. Jon Lester was solid over 6 2/3 innings, but Gagne was tagged for three runs in the decisive eighth inning. Boston's lead over New York in the AL East was sliced to 2 1/2 games.
