Giants unable to back Cain
Reds 4, Giants 2
Matt Cain allowed just two runs on seven hits over six innings of work. (Jeff Chiu/AP)
Matt Cain has been a victim of poor run support all season, and things didn't get any better on Thursday against the Reds. Cain tossed six quality innings, allowing only two runs, but suffered his 16th loss. Nate Schierholtz and Kevin Frandsen each drove in a run.
