Emil Brown and Mike Sweeney had two RBIs each, while Mark Grudzielanek knocked in two runs and tied a career high with four hits in a game to help the Royals roll over the Tigers at Comerica Park. Kyle Davies worked 5 1/3 solid innings to earn his seventh win.

Tigers slip in Wild Card race By Jason Beck / MLB.com
Magglio Ordonez continues to make a bid for the American League batting crown, but the Tigers are quickly falling out of the Wild Card race after a loss to the Royals on Saturday. Ordonez went 4-for-5 with an RBI to raise his batting average to .358 on the season.
