The Diamondbacks have no room for error after another rough night for the offense. Mark Reynolds' home run temporarily tied the contest before the Rockies broke the game open against Arizona starter Livan Hernandez. The D-backs missed out on some early chances by grounding into double plays in each of the first three innings.

Rox on verge of pennant

Stellar defense, quality pitching and timely hitting have been the hallmarks of the Rockies' remarkable run, and Game 3 of the NLCS was no different. Colorado turned three double plays, Josh Fogg tossed six solid innings and Yorvit Torrealba provided the pivotal three-run homer to move the Rox within one victory of the World Series.
