Josh Hamilton, who made two stellar catches earlier in the game and started an eighth-inning rally, hit a two-run homer in the ninth off Seattle's J.J. Putz to give the Rangers the victory. Joaquin Benoit got the win in relief of starter Vicente Padilla.
