James Shields, who fired a two-hit shutout against the Red Sox on Sunday, did not fare nearly as well in the rematch, giving up seven runs over just 3 2/3 innings. Gabe Gross and Akinori Iwamura both went deep and Evan Longoria added an RBI single.
