Righty Chad Gaudin allowed five runs on eight hits in six innings to fall to 3-2 on the season. The A's didn't get on the scoreboard until the fifth inning, when Mike Sweeney hit a two-run double, scoring Kurt Suzuki and Mark Ellis. Bobby Crosby added an RBI single in the sixth inning.
