Giants 6, Nationals 3
John Bowker homered for the second time in as many days. (Luis M. Alvarez/AP)
Barry Zito gave up single runs in three of his first four innings, but the Giants converted his effort into the veteran left-hander's second victory of the year with a four-run fifth inning. Emmanuel Burriss, in his first start in his hometown, got the action started with a single and stolen base, and John Bowker later solidified the victory with a two-run homer.
