Gil Meche wanted Royals pitchers to limit the big inning and do a better job of helping the offense. He did his part, but the bullpen couldn't recover from a two-out error in the eighth inning that led to four unearned Rangers runs and a passed ball that allowed the winning run in the ninth inning.
