Josh Hamilton's first-inning home run, a four-run fifth inning and a wild pitch in the fifth helped give the Rangers a six-run lead. Vicente Padilla shut down the first 13 batters, allowing two runs, two hits and two walks in six innings. Marlon Byrd homered in the sixth.
