The Nationals left eight runners on base, with their biggest chance to take control of the game coming in the sixth. Down just a run, Washington had the bases loaded with one out. But Wily Mo Pena flied out to short center field and Kory Casto lined out, and the Rangers put up seven runs in the following inning.
