Matt Garza held the Red Sox to an unearned run in seven strong innings, and fill-in closer Grant Balfour shut the door to help the Rays extend their AL East lead to 2 1/2 games. Tampa Bay capitalized on a pair of wild pitches, with Dioner Navarro's first of two RBI singles the difference.
