After giving up seven runs in six innings in his last start, Rangers starter Vicente Padilla only lasted 2 2/3 innings this time, giving up eight runs on nine hits. Padilla was staked an early 1-0 lead thanks to a Milton Bradley first-inning RBI double, and the Rangers scored three times in the seventh, but their attempt came up short.
