John Lackey was hit hard, and the Angels gave up an early six-run lead. But in the 11th inning, Maicer Izturis knocked in Garret Anderson for the go-ahead run. Francisco Rodriguez, who blew the save on Wednesday, held on for the save. Howie Kendrick homered twice.
