John Danks, a former top Draft pick of the Rangers, held off Texas until the bottom of the eighth, and Jim Thome and Paul Konerko, who went 4-for-4, slammed back-to-back homers in the top of the inning that put the game out of reach. The two sluggers combined for six RBIs.
