After Carlos Pena doubled in B.J. Upton to knot the game in the eighth, the Rays faltered. Left fielder Justin Ruggiano let a ball fall in for a single, then Akinori Iwamura couldn't handle Garret Anderson's game-winning infield scorcher. Gabe Gross led off the ninth with a single, but he was erased in a momentum-killing double play.
