The Rays got off to a slow start on offense, as their first runs came on a two-run single by Eric Hinske in the sixth inning. That was too little, too late, as the Rays fell to the Jays and stranded 11 baserunners. James Shields allowed four runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings of work.
