The Rays earned their 80th victory of the season in what was largely a pitchers' duel dominated by Matt Garza and Jays starter David Purcey. Carlos Pena made sure that the pitchers weren't the only story when he blasted a solo homer in the fourth inning to put the Rays ahead.
